Story
Await is a film-inspired digital camera that turns moments into meaningful prints via its Companion App. Inspired by retro tech toys and pop icons from the '90s, it reimagines the classic camera archetype to make photography playful and intentional again.
Gen Z is rediscovering film era rituals via vintage cameras, craving photography that feels more real. More people want to capture moments without a phone, avoiding scrolling and wasting time on screens.
Await blends retro toys and consumer devices aesthetic with a playful, pop-driven soul, reinterpreting 20th-century nostalgia for a Gen Z audience drawn to icons they never experienced firsthand.
To us, photography is an act of love towards real moments. The Await filter has been tested across thousands of pictures and dozens of light, shade, and low-light conditions, fine-tuned to enhance the content of every frame in any scenario.
The look is the result of an extensive study of vintage photographs and films, translating the honesty of analog imagery into a consistent digital signature.
The Await App ships on both iOS and Android, so every user can develop, manage, and print rolls from the device they already carry.
Await camera and its Companion App work as a single system.
The Camera holds up to 3 rolls of 24 frames (72 pictures total); once full, a sync develops every roll through our custom-designed, vintage-inspired filter, empties the camera, and frees it for the next session.
A photograph isn't fully finished until it lives outside the screen. We've partnered with Cloudprinter, a global print fulfillment network, so your favorite frames arrive at your door as high-quality prints on premium paper, handled with the same care you took capturing them.
Photography became a habit. Phone out, shutter down, swipe up, repeat. We called it documenting our lives, but we were just feeding a library nobody opens. Doom photography.
Await Camera is the correction. You decide before the shutter, then put it down and you're back in the moment.
A print finds a place in the world. A camera roll grows quietly in the cloud, full of near-identical shots no one remembers.
Photography should serve the moment, not become one.
Prices shown are for the US market.

Magnetic, swappable skins enable customization, while a transparent, high-tech language exposes PCBs and the internals as a core aesthetic value.
The body stays the same for everyone; the front skin is where customization happens. Buyers choose a color at checkout and can buy more skins as single add-ons, swapping them magnetically in a snap.
The two await-branded lanyards tie into the integrated loops: a short wrist strap for one-handed shooting, and a longer cord that wears as a neck strap or crossbody, keeping the camera close to the body and always within reach.
1 β Separate the parts. The lanyard ships in two pieces: the strap with quick-release clip, and a small cord buckle that anchors to the camera body.
2 β Thread the cord. Pass the thin cord loop through the lanyard hole on the side of the camera.
3 β Lock the buckle. Pull the plastic clip end back through the cord loop to secure the connector.
4 β Clip the strap. Snap the lanyard strap onto the connector. Ready to wear.
We are bringing intentionality back to photography. Await is designed for exactly this, which is why we shot hundreds and hundreds of frames ourselves. We got more quality time out of every moment, and we experienced the difference firsthand.
The Await app is free. Download your photos, manage your rolls, no fees, no subscription. We ask for a card at onboarding so checkout is one tap when you decide to print a roll. If you don't, nothing gets charged.
The moment you finish a roll is the moment you've already decided. We don't want that decision to die at a checkout screen. So we ask for your card once, during onboarding, and from then on printing is one tap.
Nothing is ever charged until you choose to print. Manually, you confirm each roll. In Automatic mode, completed rolls queue for 24 hours before printing, leaving you a window to cancel before anything leaves your account.
Automatic - Best Value
Every synced roll is queued for print and shipped 24h later, with free shipping included in the $9.99 per roll* price. Within that window, users can skip any roll they want to keep digital; after that, the prints are on their way.
Manual - Print on Demand
Synced rolls stay digital by default; nothing prints unless the user sends it to print. The mode trades the seamless convenience of Automatic for control, adding a $4.99 delivery fee* to the $9.99 per roll* price.
*Prices shown are for the US. Per-roll price and shipping may vary by country.

Await is our next chapter. A generation is rediscovering film-era rituals and craving photography that feels real, away from phones.
We unveiled it at CES in January 2026, gathered valuable feedback, and developed it through to launch: a film-inspired digital camera that turns moments into meaningful prints, bringing intention, slowness, and physicality back to image-making.
Rolling Square is known worldwide for innovative products and bold design, backed by a strong crowdfunding track record and a community of lifehackers and reviewers who love what we build.
Await is where we dared more, taking the same tech-driven, problem-solving DNA of every Rolling Square product and applying it to references we had never touched. Vintage cameras gave us the discipline of a finite roll and the ritual of waiting.
